The Title Sequence is a film I created as a part of my MFA thesis project. Prior to graduate school, I went to film school for an undergraduate degree, and while there, I developed a great reverence for cinema. While in graduate school, I focused my MFA degree on Illustration and Design, and I found an opportunity to explore the cross-section of film and graphic design in the development of title sequences in film. As a result, I made a 30-minute documentary that explores the 100-year evolution of the title sequence. My original idea for this film stems from a (spectacular) film about cinematography titled Vision of Light. I wanted to create something that did for the title sequence what Visions of Light did for cinematography. I created The Title Sequence completely from found footage; therefore, it has a Lo-Fi production value, but it is rich in content. Below is access to the complete film.
