This series of digital paintings was created between 2015 and 2016. The people in the paintings are individuals I observed in different settings across the state of Wisconsin while traveling and attending events and festivals. I found the subjects relatable, and it was captivating to recreate these moments of people going about their everyday lives. The impetus for the work was to develop a skill set in digital painting. I painted well over 50 individual pieces to improve my technique. This series was my first attempt, and I enjoyed the process of learning this medium and will continue to paint digitally.
